Can President Trump make the U.S. economy great again?

President Donald Trump just passed the widely watched 100-day mark in office, an arbitrary benchmark which he called “ridiculous” last week.

Still, Americans will inevitably grade him on his performance so far. How has he done in terms of translating his campaign promises into policies?

Well, here is one dubious distinction for the Trump administration: He marked his 100th day in the White House with the lowest approval rating of any president since 1945, according to one poll!

Trump’s actual results so far, at least when compared with his bold campaign promises, are mixed to say the least.

Just before the November election, he tweeted a 10-point “100-Day Plan” detailing his priorities if elected. The hit list included tax reform, school choice, repealing and replacing Obamacare, ending illegal immigration and cleaning up corruption in D.C., among other priorities.

So far there’s been little or no action on most of these items. Congress foiled Trump’s attempt at repealing Obamacare, but House Republicans are now reviving this legislation. His tax-reform plan has been judged by many as a modest reduction of only about 2% for most middle-class Americans, while nearly half of the tax cuts go to America’s richest 1%!

Meanwhile, Congress unveiled a $1.1 trillion spending bill this week to keep the government running, at least through September, but it rejects most of Trump’s prized spending priorities.

It goes without saying that implementing ANY of these policies is an enormous challenge in the face of growing political partisanship.

So, the question remains: Will Trump be able to succeed in his attempts to cut regulations … slash taxes for all Americans … lower healthcare costs … renegotiate fairer trade deals … and, above all, clean up corruption in Washington?

These are critical questions because what Trump does, or fails to do, over the next four years will have grave consequences for our economy and for every dollar you have invested or saved for your retirement.

Of course, these events line up perfectly with Larry Edelson’s prediction of a supercycle convergence of epic proportions. He warned us that this historic convergence would drastically alter the course of global economies, markets, politics and societies.

The rise of Donald Trump and his America First agenda is clear evidence that Larry’s forecast is playing out in spades.

I’d like to invite your feedback. In the comment section below, please let me know what kind of spending plan would you like to see. Do you think the Trump administration is overpromising? Can Trump jumpstart America’s capitalist system and make the U.S. economy great again?

Good investing,

Mike Burnick

If every able bodied person is given a job, and are willing to work hard for the purpose of getting off the system, paying their own bills, taking care of their own families and paying taxes, the load would be levied.

The continued unfairness in the tax program with fewer than ever, middle class working people having jobs isn’t how this is accomplished. People working past the age of 55 yrs now is not keeping promises or creating fairness to all, while the welfare people feel privileged.

Let’s finish what Bill Clinton started. Send the parents to work and send their children to day care. Force Change! This is ridiculous!

Stop welshing on promises and stand by them. Making promises about what will be done, and not making better efforts is wasting time. Getting elected a second time around isn’t done this way.

Mr. Trump is one more member of the deep state and part of the 1 percent. As such, his original plan will collapse. His approach will consists of patchwork in many directions that accomplish nothing. But his administration will have plenty of excuses why the original promises could not have taken place. Among these excuses will be a nasty recession (or depression), a global conflict, or a national unrest (if not revolution) or all of them. The country is in great need of genuine leadership, an international peace break, and the ground work for the after-baby boomers society, which it is sad to say but we do not have these qualities.

The President has some pretty lofty goals and ideas on how to get America great again. One area he failed to address is how we have become a debtor nation and the long term consequences of that. America has negotiated itself via our politicians into becoming the care takers of the World. We are not, nor should we be.
Democracy has worked here because our Founding Fathers saw how important it was to create a separation of powers, a separation of Church and State. It gave people the ability to use their creativity to be free to purse their own choices and not feel oppressed. That has slowly changed to where the Government wants to take care of us from cradle to grave on everyone else’s dime. That was not the vision the Founding Fathers had. That has been robbed from us. Too many rules, too much Government interference into the lives of each one of us and layering upon layering of the invasion into our lives. Power in the hands of a few becomes corrupt over time and that is where we are right now. We have a corrupt Government that can lie to us and then pass a bill to protect the corrupters.
Freedom is just another word in a dictionary. We are no longer Free. We are under the thumb of a system that cannot survive as history is now repeating itself. We never learn. We make the same mistakes over and over again. We allow someone else namely the Government to make decisions in our best interest when in fact is not in our best interest and then that same Government taxes the shit out of us to support the on going system that is doomed to fail. If you want a good example of that go look at our Indian Reservations. We have taken away the pride of those people in the past and just keep feeding them like a dog. They will never change as these people now live off the Government tit. Sad but true. We ruined them and it is happening now to the every day citizen. 47 million people live on welfare benefits. Why work? The Government will take care of us. Was that what our Founding Fathers fought for. I don’t think so, but that has been forgotten, long forgotten.
No to answer your question, President Trump can never make America Great again, it has to be the will of the People and that is the 64 Thousand Question. Will we step forward and do it.
